Okay, here's the real ending.

It's been a crazy ride guys, so long and thanks for all the fish.

Perhaps a final note on how I ended this; This was my first opportunity to take a comic story of this length to completion in my life. At this point, it doesn't even matter if ~BlindKnight or I win, I feel that we each got our opportunity to end our stories in the manner of our choosing. The winner of this round is intended to go on and have their characters featured in the finale drawn by Kilojara, so the temptation is there to leave things open-ended for the prospect of that, but I feel that BK and I are giving each other as much of a run for each other's money as possible. I wanted to be able to give my story a self-inclusive ending so that even if BK takes me down this round, there's some sort of finality for the people who have followed this the whole way through. I have strongly implied what is going to happen next for the sake of giving this something that could feel like a proper ending, but I didn't completely close all doors in the off chance that I win. Neither Fossil, Sol, nor Ophelia and co have gotten where they're going yet, so there's always room for every one of them to pull something out of their hats if that's what the cards have in store.
