Yeah, I don't even know what's up with the new ones. They'll be like "OPPONENT IS ABOUT TO USE GLOCLOBEGA! WILL YOU CHANGE POKEMON?" And I'm like... "Uh... that sounds like it could be an... ice type? I dunno." Then they send out a pineapple sitting on a doughnut and it's like "HEY! That's not a pokemon! What the hell?"

I've actually heard tell that they've got something like 1000 different Pokemon, all designed before they ever made the first game. On some levels this sounds like bunk, but on the other hand, some of the new Pokemon, especially a lot of fourth-gen Pokemon, seem like they were rummaging through the first-gen rejects file.
